Fall Wedding at David Walley's Hot Springs

When I think about Jesse & Maribel, I think about the word endurance. From middle school to mid-twenties, Jesse & Maribel have outlasted, outwitted and outlived all the roadblocks and bumps they faced, together and apart. After meeting in their teen years in middle school, Maribel moved across the country to Texas. Keeping in touch the two developed feelings for each other, and despite the distance maintained a long distance relationship. Through the years, Maribel made her way back to Nevada, where the two continued their relationship surrounded and supported by their friends, and went on to graduate nursing school together. Nine years later, they decided to tie the knot. Not only did I have the pleasure of being one of those friends to witness their love and lives grow, I also had the pleasure of photographing their wedding day.

From their first sight of each other at the alter, to their last dance on the dance floor, their day couldn't have been described anyway other than full of authentic love and raw emotions. While there wasn't a dry eye in the house most the afternoon (including myself, weddings make me a big baby), the thing that made the atmosphere feel that way the most was how effortlessly and honestly the two looked into each other's eyes when no one else was looking, the way Jesse caressed Maribel's hair out of her face, and the longevity of the smiles that lasted on their face's long into the night. Some may not believe in soulmates, some might think true love isn't up to destiny, but if they were to ever meet these two they very well might question that.
